En el tratamiento de la AOS con dispositivos orales (AO) se han identificado diversas variables clínicamente disponibles como predictores de la falta de respuesta al tratamiento con dichos dispositivos, incluyendo características endotípicas como la colapsibilidad grave de las vías respiratorias superiores, el control ventilatorio inestable y el bajo umbral de despertar. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar posibles predictores de la falta de respuesta al tratamiento con AO en pacientes con AOS que no cumplen con el tratamiento con presión positiva en las vías respiratorias.

In the treatment of OSA with oral appliances (OA), several clinically available variables have been identified as predictors of nonresponse to these devices, including endotypical features such as severe upper airway collapsibility, unstable ventilatory control, and a low arousal threshold. This study aimed to identify potential predictors of nonresponse to OA treatment in patients with OSA who are noncompliant with positive airway pressure therapy.
