La investigación que sigue busca verificar si los síntomas miofuncionales orofaciales se relacionan con los hallazgos de la evaluación clínica miofuncional orofacial en adultos con trastornos respiratorios del sueño (TRS). En sus resultados se encontró una correlación negativa moderada entre los signos y síntomas masticatorios en adultos con TRS, y no se observó correlación con las funciones respiratoria y deglutoria.

The following study seeks to determine whether orofacial myofunctional symptoms are related to the findings of the orofacial myofunctional clinical assessment in adults with sleep-disordered breathing (SDB). The results found a moderate negative correlation between masticatory signs and symptoms in adults with SDB, and no correlation was observed with respiratory and swallowing functions.
