La apnea obstructiva del sueño (AOS) es un problema importante de salud pública. El objetivo del estudio que comparto fue caracterizar las características típicas de los pacientes con AOS y estudiar la incidencia y el tratamiento de la AOS en Finlandia entre 2005 y 2019. Los resultados de este estudio indican que a medida que aumenta la prevalencia de la AOS, la necesidad de protocolos de tratamiento más eficientes se ha visto reflejada en la transición hacia la telemedicina y el aumento de las visitas de enfermería.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a major public health problem. The aim of the study I am co-hosting was to characterize the typical characteristics of patients with OSA and to study the incidence and treatment of OSA in Finland between 2005 and 2019. The results of this study indicate that as the prevalence of OSA increases, the need for more efficient treatment protocols has been reflected in the transition to telemedicine and the increase in nursing visits.
