Devised by Dr. Pang of Singapore, treats patients with mild apnea syndromes to IAH of 30 where there is a hypertrophy of the posterior pillars. Palatopharyngeal muscle contraction opens the mouth and prevent its collapse. The postoperative period is less obtrusive than conventional uvulopalatopharyngoplasty and leads onto a normal life in about 5 days.We are performing this procedure with success since last 2010 with very good results. We were the first Spanish surgeon in performing this surgery in this country.
