Frenotomy and myofunctional therapy may be useful in patients with hypotonic phenotype of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). Eighty percent of patients with blood pressure of unknown cause suffer from OSA. This patient whose case we treat and share, with a cerebral infarction and incoercible blood pressure, had a lingual frenulum and an IOPI value of 0 with severe OSA undiagnosed until our consultation. After frenotomy and myofunctional therapy, the patient had a successful treatment with Sher criteria.

We feel great personal satisfaction, firstly for diagnosing him and secondly for curing him with an officially unrecognised treatment for severe apnoea.
