Respiratory polygraphy as an alternative method for diagnosing OSA in patients with partial laryngectomy

Partial supracricoid laryngectomy is a surgical treatment for advanced laryngeal cancer that is performed to preserve organ function, but it can cause obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) due to anatomical changes after surgery that can be overlooked by physicians. Although the gold standard for diagnosing OSAS is polysomnography, respiratory polygraphy is a valid alternative method with a high level of diagnostic sensitivity and specificity; being a portable device, it can be used at home, without the need for hospitalization. The article I share is about this topic.
