Marbella, january 2012.- The ENT unit of USP Marbella, by Drs. Juan Carlos Casado and Carlos O'Connor has been successful, for the first time in Andalusia, an innovative surgery to treat chronic sinusitis by placing an implant endonasal transient.

Dr Casado explains the sinusitus can be treated pharmacologically but sometimes also requires surgery. "Through the endonasal implantation technique, innovative alternative to conventional surgery, immediate effects are achieved because the implant, which is nothing more than a reservoir with hundreds of micropores, is progressive and gradually releasing a corticosteroid directly into the affected sinuses. The implant is removed in consultation within a month, "says Dr. Casado.
