Laboratory-assisted polysomnography (PSG) is currently the gold standard for diagnosing OSA in children, but it poses challenges due to burden on families and a shortage of testing facilities. Home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), an unsupervised sleep test performed at home, is an accepted alternative for adults, but lacks sufficient evidence for its clinical use in the evaluation of OSA in children. This topic is addressed in this article.
