The research I am sharing was conducted by researchers at Charles University in Prague and has found that obstructive sleep apnea significantly increases the risk of mortality in people with diabetes mellitus. The results, published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, reveal that untreated severe obstructive sleep apnea increases the risk of all-cause mortality by 58% in diabetic patients.
