Durante los últimos años, 🔆 la terapia miofuncional 🔆 ha pasado de ser considerada un abordaje complementario a convertirse en una herramienta con base científica creciente en el manejo del ronquido y la apnea obstructiva del sueño (AOS).
Sin embargo, hasta ahora no existía una obra que abordara este campo de forma estructurada, multidisciplinar y orientada a la práctica clínica, integrando evidencia, fisiopatología y experiencia real.
Tras un intenso trabajo 🦾 conjunto con un grupo excepcional de coautores, me alegra anunciar que el ✨ 22 de enero se publicará nuestro libro: Myofunctional Therapy in Snoring and Sleep Apnea (Springer Nature)
Un proyecto que refleja la madurez alcanzada por esta disciplina y la necesidad de tender puentes reales entre otorrinolaringología, medicina del sueño, logopedia, odontología y otras áreas implicadas en la función de la vía aérea.
Gracias a todos los colegas que han contribuido con su conocimiento, rigor y visión crítica a este trabajo conjunto. 👏

Over the past years, 🔆 myofunctional 🔆 therapy has evolved from being considered a complementary approach to becoming a clinically relevant and increasingly evidence-based intervention in the management of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
Despite this progress, there has been a clear gap in the literature: the lack of a work addressing this field in a structured, multidisciplinary and clinically oriented manner, integrating pathophysiology, evidence and real-world practice.
I am pleased to share that on ✨ January 22, our book will be published: Myofunctional Therapy in Snoring and Sleep Apnea

This volume will be the first book fully dedicated to myofunctional therapy in snoring and OSA, bringing together contributions from experts in otorhinolaryngology, sleep medicine, speech and language therapy, dentistry and other disciplines involved in upper airway function.
I would like to sincerely thank all the co-authors for their 🦾 scientific rigor, clinical expertise and collaborative spirit, as well as Springer Nature for supporting this project.
I hope this work will contribute to improving clinical practice and fostering truly multidisciplinary care in sleep medicine. 👏
