Un important\u00edsimo estudio de la Universidad de Pittsburgh presentado en el congreso internacional SLEEP 2026 le ha puesto datos cient\u00edficos a este problema, confirmando que la poblaci\u00f3n femenina experimenta una carga global de s\u00edntomas mucho mayor y, desgraciadamente, peor reconocida por los algoritmos m\u00e9dicos actuales. La investigaci\u00f3n compar\u00f3 de manera directa a hombres y mujeres con niveles de apnea moderada a grave antes de iniciar su terapia con CPAP. Los resultados rompen por completo los mitos del sector.&nbsp;El problema radica en que los s\u00edntomas tradicionales \u2014como el ronquido estruendoso, las pausas presenciadas por la pareja o la somnolencia diurna medida por la Escala de Epworth\u2014 no mostraron diferencias entre sexos en este estudio.
