La idea de que la apnea obstructiva del sue\u00f1o podr\u00eda estar relacionada con microhemorragias cerebrales genera un escalofr\u00edo silencioso: respirar mal mientras duermes y al mismo tiempo dejar peque\u00f1os rastros de sangre en el cerebro, casi imperceptibles. Un estudio del JAMA Network Open en Corea, con m\u00e1s de 1 400 adultos, estableci\u00f3 que quienes ten\u00edan apnea moderada a severa presentaron el doble de riesgo de desarrollar microhemorragias cerebrales (CMB, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) al cabo de ocho a\u00f1os.

The idea that obstructive sleep apnea might be linked to cerebral microbleeds sends a silent chill down your spine: breathing poorly while you sleep and simultaneously leaving tiny, almost imperceptible traces of blood in your brain. A JAMA Network Open study in Korea, involving more than 1,400 adults, found that those with moderate to severe sleep apnea had twice the risk of developing cerebral microbleeds (CMBs) after eight years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
