Adrián Martín Montero, un investigador arandino en Ingeniería Biomédica, ha ganado el premio a la mejor tesis doctoral presentada el año pasado a la tercera edición de un certamen que organiza la Sociedad Española de esta especialidad científica. El trabajo realizado por este investigador tiene como objetivo avanzar en el diagnóstico de la apnea obstructiva del sueño en pacientes pediátricos examinando de manera exhaustiva el comportamiento de la variabilidad de su frecuencia cardíaca, con el fin de obtener información valiosa sobre las alteraciones cardíacas asociadas a esta patología.

Adrián Martín Montero, a biomedical engineering researcher from Aranda, has won the award for the best doctoral thesis presented last year at the third edition of a competition organized by the Spanish Society of this scientific specialty. The researcher’s work aims to advance the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea in pediatric patients by exhaustively examining the behavior of their heart rate variability, in order to obtain valuable information on the cardiac alterations associated with this condition.
