High ambient temperatures are associated with reduced sleep duration and quality, but their effects on obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) severity are unknown. This study quantified the effect of 24-hour ambient temperature on nocturnal OSA severity in 116,620 users of a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-cleared self-contained breathing device over 3.5 years.
