We successfully concluded the 16th Course on OSA Surgery, organized by Dr. Guillermo Plaza, Dr. Peter Baptista, and myself, with two outstanding guest speakers: Dr. Srinivas Kishore and Dr. David Gozal.
The course combined live surgery, up-to-date theory, and specimen dissection, offering a comprehensive approach to the management of patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). We welcomed 50 participants from 12 different countries, reflecting the global interest in advancing sleep surgery.
We strongly advocated for the functional evaluation of OSA patients and emphasized the role of ankyloglossia as a potential contributing factor. Also performed our 11th pharyngoplasty following Cahali's technique, continuing to build expertise and outcomes in this surgical field.
