Impulse oscillometry applied to the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea

Impulse oscillometry (IOS) is a simple, inexpensive, noninvasive tool to assess upper airway resistance, which is increased in patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). The aim of this article is to examine the relationship between IOS parameters and polysomnography to assess the applicability of IOS as a complementary tool in the diagnosis of OSA.
