Oral appliance therapy has emerged as a treatment for patients with obstructive sleep apnea. Historically, healthcare providers have questioned the efficacy of oral appliance therapy. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first review to focus exclusively on scientific articles reporting oral appliance treatment success as a residual apnea-hypopnea index of less than 10 events per hour.
